UPDATE: Unsurpsringly our friends from Sky have had the video taken down. So all we have is the preview. Sorry.
We have added the ‘Rise and rise of AFC Bournemouth’ instead. An oldie but a goodie
For those who don’t have, or don’t want Sky, would have missed the documentary about the Cherries fairytale journey from League Two in 2009 to the Premier League in 2015/16.
We all know the story but seeing it put into a coherent well-thought out history lesson helps bring home exactly what an acheivement the journey has been. We knew what was coming but it still didn’t stop us welling up. It never changes, every time I see Steve Fletcher score against Grimsby it sends a shiver down my spine and brings a tear to my eye.
The footage of the Winter Gardens is another moment that brings a tear to my eye (I’m such a wuss). I remember the evening well, I wrote a cheque for £30 which was probably about a quarter of my wages at the time, my mate put in a £100, a whole week’s wages. Even though we’ve still had to watch some crap across the years, at least mine and many others contributions have given us a club to watch. Watch and enjoy.
